Salient Features of the project:

  • Awareness created among farmers about adverse effects of chemical farming to the farmers other than the present through use of various tools.
  • Impart training to 1020 farmers for enhancing productivity, who are presently under domestic certification process.
  • Imparted training to farmer’s other than the present on non-pest management of farming
  • Quality has been improved of the present farm diary & preparation of short diaries for other farmers.
Special Achievement:
The cotton of farmers was sold to Rajlaxmi Cotton Mills, Kolkatta. This organically grown cotton fetched averagely Rs 500/- more per quintal than the chemically grown cotton. Other farmers practicing chemical farming are also attracting towards this group activity. BT cotton has created threat to the straight line varieties as it has been observed that more farmers are using BT variety which is propagated by companies as high yielding variety. However, organically grown straight line varieties or hybrid varieties are safer for cattle or human beings in all terms. All the selected farmers are practicing organic farming & they all are brought under full form.
